Guitar Gallery

As a younger rock god with many aliases, playing in many bands, I bought and played some great guitars.
Whenever I got tired of playing or was broke, or was tired and broke, I sold my instruments. Big regret of my life, it seems now that I was selling future memories.
I've had a lifelong love affair with Gretsches, then Fenders, but I never owned an original Gibson. When I got the chance to buy a Gibson Blueshawk I jumped at it.
Later in my life when I was in a position to, I started to rebuild a collection of instruments such as I had then, plus some that took my fancy. Mrs Marius encouraged my madness (gotta love that woman).
Then when the room in the house was chocka block she suggested I build an external studio (Exernal, get it, from time to time I still play at concert volume!! ooops!)
So now here I am today posting this blog from my studio as I like to call it, I have numerous effects modules, one smallish peavey amp, some mics, a virtual multi track digital studio. I have discovered the fun of recording to disc and video and the great fun of uploading to you tube. I haven't gone viral yet, or is that feral, hahahahahaha!!

However it can only be a matter of time

Stay tuned

by the way, my you tube channel link:-

Go on have a look.

By the way, did I tell you, I am a  hot shot  guitar player, composer, somgwriter, singer only controlled my my extreme modesty.

I also play keyboards, badly!!

I am a geat bass player!

Laugh a lot, live the life

Gretsch 1967 Viking, more gold plate than Fort Knox superb player

Maccaferri G30 and G40 1955 brilliant Jazz Guitars, Check them out on the net for the big surprise

Peavey T60 with a Roland TK2 pickup huge value for money

1995 Ovation Collectors Series magic guitar with piezo pick up and on board grahic equaliser

Only one in the world competely hand crafted Gourd Guitar by Tony Davis, it will never leave the collection

Side view of above

Seriously excellent 80's synth guitar Roland 707, comes with the biggest floor mounted controller you have ever seen, flawless player, I'm nuts about this guitar, massively expensive when new, now can be picked up cheap as, what a shame

Yamaha AEX 1500, The Martin Taylor designed Jazz Box, impossible bang for the buck, I don't think these are being made today, other than cheap copies

Note the little Hofner Beatle bass 2nd from the right, as cool as,

my studio, or part thereof

My absolute favourite an original '63 Fender Jaguar, Magic, Magic,Magic

More pics of guitars above

One of the best Synth guitars for the money ever made the Casio MG510, built like a superstrat with unlimited midi capabilities

Another gold plated favourite the Gibson "Blueshawk", this one with the bigsby designed Maestro Tremolo. Again more gold plate than you can poke a stick at. Very lightweight, unreal player

With all these guitars look 'em up on the net for all the features they carry.

Retro Rockers Rock On

Fun and laughter extends our life, this has been comprehesivley proven by university controlled experiments on a man who stumled into a laboratory, mistakenly believing he'd got a grant.

Adopting this principle, the Dirt Poor Band got together a few days ago and played some guitar boogie and wrote untold versions of Happy Birthday to a friend in Houston Texas.

If you are suffering an attack of the blues or the flu or unhappines go to

Stonehege

Having been somewhat fascinated by druidical types running around and sacrificing evrything or everbody in sight Marius wrote this minor symphonic tone poem called "Stonehenge"

It now hits the airwaves at you tube "antonymarius" channel

Blondes, Blondes, Blondes

Having acquired a very cool Yamaha AEX 1500,  yet another guitar in the Marius/Cyrus K Hammerblow collection A tune came to me. It said "Hey Marius, wanna play a bit of Jazz"
"Moi" sez I, I'm a rock god, I don't do Jazz, However the tune said, "I bring lots of  Blondes", "Say no more" sez Marius, "I'm in.
The tune is called "The LA Blonde", heaps of pics of some very lovely ladies!
Here's the result, click on the link

Tangerine

Yes I know its the name of a fruit, it is also a very cool jazz song from way back when.

Marius could not resist having a shot at this, so now you lucky viewers get to see Marius live. Where is it all going to go, who knows.

Saving Whales

Saving Whales

I don't know why it is that certain cultures think it is cool to kiil the increasingly scarce wild animals of our planet. In particular the whale.

Some years ago I wrote a piece of music "Winterheart" It is dedicated to a mythical whale of that name who survives beyond age and ages. His purpose is to defend his species.

Finally since I worked out how to work U tube (TV became available to the masses in my lifetime) I have uploaded an exceprt from the piece.

Apache

Since I became Marius The Movie Mogul I am unable to stop making these simple, naive little clips, featuring my shit hot guitar work, whether I be Marius, or Cyrus K or "The Animal Is Alive".

Here is a peice which I recorded direct to tape a few years back. It is a favourite. The clips all taken from Google images indicate my huge respect for the Apache nation. Here's the link

A Dream of Paris

Last night a dream again
A long walk to Paris
From deep in the country
It rains
A stolen bicycle and a broken drink
Long Legs in a Gym Slip
Come to get me in this long limosine
Django plays a tango
All down Montmatre he stumbles
Looking for a phantom
A snatch of accordion music
In the night
Catches the last Train into
Gare Du Nord
Place De L'opera is singing again
In Boulevard Housemann
Searching for the street, the house, the room
The Dream Survives

Under The Phases Of The Moon

A Poem:

Under the Phases Of The Moon
A not so clear night
Thunderheads, a star now and then
A skyline, ridge, ocean
The moon
In Nomine Sinestre,
A pale gaze from clear eyes,
Look deep, what do you see
A dark reality
A dream missed
Under the phases of the moon
Stay a while, a fleeting while
A haunted smile under dark circled eyes
And years go by, never cry
Under the phases of the moon
Off in the distance
a saxaphone
in a blue mood
A jolt of fear, always near
Fragments of a life, pieces of the dream
survive
Under the phases of the moon
A drifting mist of thought
Caught unawares
In a slow waking dawn
Look deep, who do you see
Under the phases
of
the
moon.
